NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A New Orleans man has been sentenced to prison after attempting to rob a bank using a note that read, “Can I borrow 2K, this is a robbery.”

A judge sentenced 30-year-old Juan Simpson to 48 months in prison.

The attempted robbery occurred in November of 2024 at a Capital One branch on South Claiborne Avenue.
