Unofficial results of the Robstown runoff election are in. The runoff followed the November election, where no candidate received the required 50% plus one vote in the mayoral race or the City Council Place 1 race.
Incumbent David “Petey” Martinez leads the mayoral race with 52.25% of the vote, while Mary Ann Saenz received 47.44%.
In the Place 1 race, John A. Ramon is ahead with 56.06% of the vote. His opponent, Robert Silguero, received 43.94%.
822 total ballots were cast out of the city's total 5,980 registered voters. As previously reported on, this election received lower turnout reflecting a pattern of decreasing turnout for the city.
According to DataUSA, Robstown has approximately 10,000 residents. In 2023, about 6,000 people were registered to vote, but only 1,222 actual
