PASCO, Wash. – A single-car rollover crash that took place on Taylor Flats Road claimed the life of a 19-year-old driver on Saturday morning, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) reported.

Arriving at the scene of the incident, just north of Birch Road, deputies found the driver outside of the vehicle and reported that he was unresponsive. Officials identified the driver as Rene Ramos-Campos.

Life-saving efforts were conducted, but Ramos-Campos succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the FCSO, preliminary investigation has indicated that speed and impairment were possible factors in the crash, however the investigation remains ongoing and no official cause has been determined.
