This Pennsylvania high school wrestler accomplished something only two legends have done in 31 years

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — David Taylor and Zahid Valencia can add one more name to their exclusive list Saturday.

In the final match of the 31 st annual Walsh Jesuit Ironman Wrestling Tournament, Bishop McCort (PA) senior Bo Bassett became only the third wrestler to become a four-time Ironman champion, joining Taylor and Valencia.

Bassett capped things off with a wild 14-6 major decision over two-time Ironman champion Joe Bachmann of Faith Christian Academy (PA).

“I absolutely love it,” Bassett said. “He came out ready to fight ... That was fun. I love coming into an intense crowd. I’m glad Joe came out ready, but he was in deep waters and he couldn’t stay afloat.”
