LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) -The Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District celebrated the opening of its new headquarters on Saturday.

The building was purchased earlier this year with plans to be remodeled to meet the growing needs of the protection district.

The new headquarters will allow the firefighters to have access to a bigger and more modern fire station.

People got a chance to take a tour of the new facility and meet their local firefighters.

“We have a larger training room here. It’s almost double the size we’ve had before at our other station. Here we have living quarters upstairs. So - if we ever had to do any type of staffing situation - we have capabilities for our firefighters to stay here and be ready to go for our calls,” said Daniel Jones, fire chief at Lebanon Rural Fire.
