The multistate Powerball jackpot will be worth at least $1 billion on Saturday night, Dec. 13, or at least a $461 million lump sum payout, if you're lucky enough to hit all five numbers and the power ball.
The Powervall drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. The Michigan Lottery estimates the top prize will be at least $1 billion ahead of the drawing with a cash value of $461 million.
The last time someone claimed a $1 billion prize was in September, when players from Missouri and Texas hit the lucky numbers.
While chances of actually claiming the overall jackpot remains incredibly small — about 1 in 292 million — lightning has struck in Michigan before.
