HELENA — The Gallatin Raptors played their first girls basketball game of the season against Helena High on Saturday, but it sure didn't look like it.
The Raptors, who came into the game, inside the Jungle on a nine-game winning streak, scored 30 points in their first stanza of the season, on their way to their 10th straight win, a 78-37 triumph over Helena High.
"We learned that we are coming into this season with the right mentality," Gallatin head Taylor Cummings said. "We can't expect to be handed anything. We're going to have to go out there and work for everything. I think I saw that from us. We played with a lot of energy as a team."
