Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has moved swiftly to clear the air ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, confirming that he will be fully fit to bowl, despite being listed as a batter in the official auction pool.
Green, who will go under the hammer at the auction in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, said the unusual classification was the result of a clerical error during registration rather than a change in role or fitness concerns.
Speaking to reporters before Australia’s training session in Adelaide on Sunday, Green explained that the mix-up occurred while his manager was completing the auction paperwork.
