Organising a marriage procession with band, sound system, or loudspeakers in Cuttack now requires mandatory prior permission from the police, with applicants required to submit a detailed set of documents and follow a fixed online approval process under the Odisha Urban Police Act.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Cuttack, informed that individuals planning marriage processions must apply for a licence addressed to the DCP office through the prescribed online portal.
