Twenty-eight people have been booked in a village in Greater Noida for alleged illegal construction on land earmarked for the expansion of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, police said on Saturday.
The FIR was lodged on Friday at Rabupura police station under sections 223 (Disobedience to a lawful order by a public servant) and 329(3) (Criminal Trespass and House-Trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections 2 and 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984. Station House Officer Sujit Kumar said that the sections did not have provisions for arrests. “We will first collect evidence and file the chargesheet in the case,” he told The Indian Express .
