A Powerball ticket sold at a Sacramento liquor store won at least $1.975 million Saturday night after matching five numbers, but missing the Powerball, according to the California Lottery website.
The winning numbers drawn were 1, 28, 31, 57 and 58, with Powerball number 16. No ticket matched all six numbers, leaving the roughly $1 billion jackpot unclaimed.
The lottery website reported that the $1.975 million ticket was purchased at Lichine’s Liquor & Deli on South Land Park Drive in Sacramento.
Four additional tickets statewide won about $57,000 each, and more than 412,000 tickets won smaller prizes.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 292 million, the California Lottery’s website states. Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. Po
