The Mumbai crime branch has busted an illegal drug manufacturing unit in Satara and allegedly seized 7.5 kilograms of mephedrone (MD) and raw material worth approximately ₹115 crore.

Police arrested seven people from Mumbai , Pune , and Satara. The arrested accused have been identified as Salim Abdul Hamid Sheikh, Rais Riyaz Sheikh, Kuruvilla Omen Cherian, Vishal Jagannath More, Saddam Najjar Abbas Syed, Rajekul Khalilul Rahman, and Habijul Fakrul Islam.

According to the police, an official of Unit 7 nabbed two persons in the Mulund area on December 9 and during search, found 136 grams of MD in their possession.
