YOU SHALL NOT CROSS!

Re “Another Tory MP crosses floor to join Liberals” (Ian Shantz, Dec. 12): I think the story that isn’t being told here regarding elected MPs or MLAs crossing the floor to join another party is the impact it has on voters and our trust in the electoral system. It doesn’t matter what party an elected representative is coming from or going to. If they were elected under a certain party, they should not ever be allowed to cross the floor and join another party. This is betrayal of the citizens in that riding and a betrayal of the system. No wonder Canadians are so cynical.
