One active cadre of UNLF(P) was apprehended from Lamphel Super Market in Imphal West district.

Security forces arrested six cadres of different militant groups for their alleged involvement in extortion activities in Manipur. All the arrests were made on Saturday.

Security forces arrested three active cadres of PREPAK (PRO) in two different operations, two from Canchipur area in Imphal West and while other from Bishnupur district. They have been identified as Kshetrimayum Abinash Singh (21), Rajkumar Daniel Singh (31) and Thangjam Priyobarta Singh (35).

A 9mm pistol loaded with 12 rounds, and two .38 cartridges were seized from their possession, it said.
