Joshua Henderson’s hat trick powered Vernon to a 4-1 victory over High Point at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm.

It is the first career hat trick for Henderson, a sophomore. Two of Henderson’s goals came in a second period which saw Vernon (1-1-1) score three in a row after falling behind 1-0.

Zach Crozeir had a goal and an assist in the win, while Mason Heilmann added two assists. Klaus Harthaus made 33 saves in the win.

Bradyn Husarenko gave High Point (0-4) a 1-0 lead. Aiden Madden made 23 saves in defeat.
