Bengaluru: A former Karnataka legislator and practising doctor, Anjali Nimbalkar, saved the life of an American woman who suffered a medical emergency during a Goa–New Delhi flight, officials said on Sunday.

The incident occurred mid-air when the woman complained of discomfort and shivering before losing consciousness and her pulse. Nimbalkar, who was travelling on the flight at the time, immediately stepped in and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), successfully reviving the passenger.
