The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is set to establish a new Research and Development campus on a 3,000-acre site in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh. The centre has sought the state's assistance for land diversion to expedite the initiative.
According to sources, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has given initial clearance for 148.15 hectares of land. This area is crucial for the project's strategic location, endorsed by both the Site Selection Committee and the Atomic Energy Commission.
