John Cena’s WWE career ended the only way it could: under the brightest lights, in front of a roaring crowd, and with history hanging heavy in the air.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C., the 17-time world champion wrestled his final WWE match — and left everything in the ring.
Cena pushed himself to the limit, but it was Gunther who stood tall, locking in a sleeper hold and forcing the unthinkable tap-out. It was the first time Cena had submitted in nearly 20 years, and the shock rippled instantly through the Capital One Arena.
