A gun attack on Bondi Beach where a Jewish event was being held has killed 10 people, police said. New South Wales Police confirmed earlier there had been multiple fatalities in the incident.

Officers said 10 people had been killed, including one gunman. The other gunam is in police custody with injuries.

The incident happened while a Hanukkah event was being held at the beach. Officers say it is not known at this stage if the shooting is connected to event, , reports The Mirror .

A flyer for the event - named Chanuka by the Sea 2025 - says it was scheduled to start at 17:00 AEDT (06:00 GMT) on Sunday.
