While the University of Michigan searches for its next head football coach, a third party is beginning to dig into the events that led up to Sherrone Moore’s dismissal last week.
School officials have retained powerhouse law firm Jenner & Block to conduct an investigation into the culture of Michigan’s athletic department in the wake of Moore’s inappropriate relationship with a female coworker, a source with knowledge of the decision recently told The Ann Arbor News/ MLive.
Regent Jordan Acker confirmed the probe on social media on Saturday, writing on X that Michigan “must be a leader and the best in all areas, including ethics, accountability, and transparency,” calling the law firm’s role as a “necessary first step.”
