The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for rain with heavy and persistent downpours expected in six parts of Wales. It comes just a week after parts of the country saw widespread disruption following another amber warning that was issued as Storm Bram hit Wales.
The weather agency said up to 80mm of rain is expected to fall quite widely across parts of south and southwest Wales on Monday (December 15), with some places seeing close to 100mm of rainfall. Forecasters stated that fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing "danger to life".
