DULUTH — Bethel Anderson just needed a little more help.

Five years ago, the now 90-year-old resident at Ecumen Lakeshore had just given up her car and was finding it difficult to get to the grocery store during the pandemic. Then she read about Age Well Arrowhead's grocery delivery service in a brochure.

"I saw that, and I thought, that's great because it was so hard to go to the store," Anderson said. "I have a son in town. He and his wife work full time and, at the time, had five kids at home. I thought this was the perfect time for me to have somebody else help me with the groceries and getting to the doctor."

According to Executive Director Jacob Dreyer, that's exactly one of the goals of Age Well Arrowhead — to allow families quality time together that's not focused on chores.
