The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday appointed Nitin Nabin, a cabinet minister in the Bihar government, as its national working president, marking a major organisational elevation for the senior leader from the state. He is one of the youngest presidents of the BJP.
The decision was taken by the BJP parliamentary board and announced through an official notification issued by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh. The appointment takes effect immediately.
Nabin, who currently holds the road construction portfolio in the Nitish Kumar–led Bihar government, is widely regarded as a seasoned organisation hand within the BJP.
