Despite the temptations of U.S. Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Statistics Canada revealed that Canadians continued to shun the United States in November . Resident return trips by automobile once again decreased in November, totaling 1.3 million. This was a steep decline in Canadians visiting the United States of 28.6% compared to last year.
There still are groups loyal to U.S. travel. According to a recent Snowbird Advisor survey , one type of traveler is still the most likely to return to the United States, and that's Canadian snowbirds. In the survey, 70% said they would still return to the United States despite the tension.
