Coronation Street Daniel Brocklebank’s Hollywood role before soap fame as Billy Mayhew

A Coronation Street favourite looked remarkably different in a 1990s Hollywood film, confessing they "didn't realise how big that movie was going to be".

Daniel Brocklebank made his debut on the cobbles in 2014 as Billy Mayhew. He has since become a beloved character, featuring in numerous major storylines - ranging from murder to a devastating drug addiction .

Beyond his powerful storylines, Billy has also enjoyed multiple romantic relationships on the soap, including with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and husband Paul Foreman (Peter Ash). Billy was left devastated last year after Paul's death following his struggle with MND (motor neurone disease).
