Mayor of London shared his condolences following the anti-Semitic terror attack at Bondi Beach, in Australia, and vowed to increase Metropolitan Police visibility at Hanukkah celebrations

The Metropolitan Police will increase its visibility at Hanukkah events in the capital following the Bondi Beach terror attack.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan announced the move following the deadly attack at the beach in Sydney , Australia , today. Australian officials have said at least 12 people have died, multiple people are injured and that at least one of two suspected terrorists have been killed.

Officials said the attack was motivated by anti-Semitism . Khan said in a statement shared to X/ Twitter : "My thoughts and condolences - along with the rest of London - are with everyone affected
