WASHINGTON — The National Menorah will be lit Sunday afternoon on the Ellipse, marking the first night of Hanukkah in a ceremony that draws thousands of attendees each year and is watched by viewers around the country. For those who cannot attend in person, the full ceremony will be streamed live and free on WUSA9+.
The annual National Menorah lighting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, with musical performances and programming beginning at 3:30 p.m. The event takes place on the Ellipse, just south of the White House, and is open to the public with free, advance tickets.
