Landman‘s Jacob Lofland is defending Cooper and Ariana’s fast-paced romance as the fictional couple makes plans to get engaged.

During the Sunday, December 14, episode of the hit Paramount+ series, Ariana (Paulina Chavez) mentioned that living with Cooper and making plans for the future felt off when they weren’t engaged or married. Cooper hinted at his intention to commit to Ariana, which she told him required he get permission from her father.

Cooper subsequently made the drive to ask Ariana’s dad for her hand in marriage. Her father said Ariana didn’t need his permission but he gave his approval, which is one more step toward Cooper properly proposing to his girlfriend after they started dating days after her husband’s death.
