The fall season is over, so it’s time to look back at some of the biggest standout performers this year.
The Oregonian/OregonLive athlete of the year finalists are gathered based on season finishes and performances at the state championships. The winner is decided on by writers from The Oregonian/OregonLive.
Here are the finalists for the football player of the year. Vote below for who you think the winner should be.
LaMarcus Bell, Lake Oswego
Despite having a late start to the season due to injury, and sharing carries with Justin Craigwell, Bell was still a standout this fall. He had 153 carries for 1,516 yards (almost 10 yards per carry) and 25 rushing touchdowns and was the team’s biggest offensive weapon as the Lakers went 12-1 and won the Class 6A state title.
