The National Weather Service released a wind advisory at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday valid for Monday between 1 a.m. and 4 p.m. for North Oregon Coast Range and Central Oregon Coast Range.
"South winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected," states the weather service. "Strongest wind gusts are expected for the Willapa Hills and northern Oregon Coast Range. Isolated gusts up to 65 mph will be possible. Peak wind gusts are likely to occur between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m."
"Gusty winds combined with saturated soils will increase the chances for downed trees and isolated power outages. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects," explains the weather service.
