Jubilant Stephen Robinson has insisted his Premier Sports Cup-winning side should get the freedom of Paisley after writing their names into St Mirren’s history books. ‌

The Buddies upset the odds and Wilfried Nancy’s Celtic 3-1 at Hampden to lift the League Cup for only the second time in their history. Robinson believes his players, who won it through a Jonah Ayunga double and another from Marcus Fraser, will be assured of legendary status after they delivered the fifth major trophy to St Mirren . ‌
