The Signal Mountain Police Department says crews are working to rescue a driver who went off the side of the mountain on North Palisades Drive.

The driver is alert, speaking to 911 dispatchers on the phone.

The 500 block of North Palisades Drive is closed as rescue operations continue. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the W Road has also been shut down.
