The Lake Mary Varsity Boys Football team won their game against Venice High School in stunning fashion. It was by a score of 31-26.
The Florida high school state football championship finished with a phenomenal ending. Lake Mary was down six points with seven seconds left. It was the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 7A title game.
It seemed like an impossible feat, as they needed a Hail Mary. Quarterback Noah Grubbs dropped back to pass and rolled to his right. He then got a little momentum to fire the ball with all his might.
The football ended up being tipped and caught short of the goal line. Wide receiver Barrett Schulz caught the ball, but he was tackled on his feet immediately as he tried to fight. The refs did not blow the play dead as they let it play out.
