ZACHARY, La. (WAFB) - Funeral arrangements have been announced for Chief Chuckie Albert, a longtime leader in fire service across the Capital Region.

According to the Louisiana Fire Chiefs Association, visitation for Chief Albert will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary. A funeral mass will immediately follow at 12 p.m.

A graveside service will take place afterward at Redwood Baptist Church Cemetery in Slaughter.

Chief Albert served in numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including time with the Zachary Fire Department, as fire chief in West Monroe, and with the St. George Fire Protection District, where he held positions such as chief of training, chief of admini
