A passenger in the car that crashed into a school bus carrying a Grand Junction high school wrestling team in Lakewood earlier this month died on Sunday, police said.
Julio Vasquez-Gonzalez, 18, died Sunday morning from his injuries, according to a news release from the Lakewood Police Department.
The driver accused of hitting the school bus, 22-year-old Andrew Logan Miller of Denver , was arrested Thursday on suspicion of vehicular assault, child abuse, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and speeding 40 mph or more over the limit, according to the department .
As of Sunday, investigators were discussing additional charges with the District Attorney’s Office, including vehicular homicide, police said.
