New Orleans Saints rookie running back Devin Neal suffered a hamstring injury after scoring a touchdown in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers.
Neal's injury occurred after a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter of Sunday's NFC South contest between the Saints and the Panthers at the Caesars Superdome. The Saints rookie running back headed to the locker room and is listed as out for the remainder of the game, the Saints confirmed at the end of halftime.
Starting at running back in place of of an injured Alvin Kamara (knee), Neal had 28 rushing yards on 7 carries along with 1 catch for 4 yards prior to leaving the game against the Panthers. The Saints are down to Audric Estime and Evan Hull at running back.
