THE GAME:
Washington opened the scoring on its first possession with a 46-yard field goal by K Jake Moody , giving the Commanders a 3-0 lead.
The Commanders extended their lead to 10-0 early in the second quarter when RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt scored on a 16-yard run.
Moody added a 39-yard field goal to give the Commanders a 13-0 lead midway through the second quarter.
Giants' RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. reached the endzone on a 12-yard rushing touchdown, making it a 13-7 game with 3:37 remaining in the first half.
Washington took a 19-7 advantage after a 63-yard punt return for a touchdown by WR Jaylin Lane . K Jake Moody missed the extra point. The Commanders added a 42-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, giving them a 22-7 lead heading to the locker room.
