INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – Students at two of Independence’s schools worked hard together to create handmade blankets for children’s hospitals.

Seventh graders at Independence Middle School welcomed fourth graders from Independence Primary School to complete the special community project.

The children worked hard together to create the colorful fleece blankets, each crafted with care and designed to bring warmth and comfort to children facing medical challenges.

“This project is such a beautiful reminder of what happens when our school communities come together,” said Independence Middle School Principal Haley Mueller. “Our students poured so much love into every tie.”
