ITANAGAR, Aug 8: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against illicit drug trade, the Arunachal Pradesh Police has arrested four individuals, including three women, who were allegedly involved in drug trafficking. The police also seized heroin weighing approximately 62.1 gram from their possession, a senior police officer said on Thursday.
Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said that acting on a tip-off received on Wednesday, a police team comprising officer-in-charge of Naharlagun PS Inspector Krishnendu Dev, SI Vivek Linggi, and others launched a swift operation. The team intercepted a hired auto near Borum Bridge in Naharlagun and apprehended the three women identified as Taba Kuku (22), Gollo Kuku (22), and Nani Anu (24) – all residents of Naharlagun.
