As we enter the second week of August, the past few weeks have been filled with summer blockbusters and independent films for audiences to discover. From couples comedies to detective mysteries, this season is full of blockbusters for everyone to watch on the big screen for the next few weeks.

Opening in limited release this weekend is Neon’s “ Splitsville ,” a comedy starring Dakota Johnson and Adria Arjona. “Splitsville” follows two couples whose friendship erupts after the husband of the divorcing couple sleeps with the wife in the other marriage. The film is directed by Michael Angelo Covino, and is co-written with Kyle Marvin.
