California governor Gavin Newsom has never been mistaken for a fan of Donald Trump , but during a recent podcast, he made his feelings for the president extra clear, calling him a “son a bitch” who sets a poor example for kids.

Speaking about Trump’s decision last month to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles, Newsom said on The Shawn Ryan Show: “They’re sitting there on horses with American flags, running through soccer fields, scaring kids in the middle of the day at a summer camp. For what? Just toughness.
