Deputies ID bicyclist killed in northwest Miami-Dade hit-and-run

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities have identified the man killed in a hit-and-run crash earlier this week in northwest Miami-Dade as 67-year-old Samuel Lee Singletary.

According to deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Singletary was riding a bicycle along State Road 7 (US-441) near Northwest 95th Street when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver fled the scene, heading north on 441, deputies said.

Authorities said Singletary was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.
