GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gators have made additions to both cross country and track and field following another trip to NCAA DI Championships to conclude last outdoor track and field season.

Cameron Ponder has joined both coaching staffs as an Assistant Coach, the team announced Tuesday.

Ponder joins the Gators following time at the University of Toledo where he was a key to coaching both men’s and women’s teams and capturing the 2024 Mid-America Conference Cross Country Championships.

He was a standout distance runner at Furman University where he was named the 2021-22 Southern Conference Co-Male Athlete of the Year and earned back-to-back honors as Furman’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2021 and 2022. Nati
