JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — A months-long Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probe has uncovered no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by Impact Plastics' management leading up to the deaths of six employees in floods from Hurricane Helene Sept. 27, 2024.
First Judicial District Attorney Steve Finney's office announced the results in a Friday afternoon news release. Finney is now closing the case with no further action planned.
Attorneys for Impact Plastics founder and CEO Gerald O'Connor wrote in a statement Friday they "welcome the results" of the TBI's "thorough and appropriate investigation," adding, "the true and accurate facts are now known."
