FORT WORTH, Texas — The longtime chef behind a popular Fort Worth burger spot is asking for help several months after he was assaulted in his own restaurant.
May 13, Chef Carlos Rodriguez of Fuego Burger was assaulted at his restaurant and suffered compound fractures and ligament damage to his knee, the Fort Worth Star Telegram reported . At the time of the incident, his family expected Rodriguez to be away from the restaurant for several months, but now it's clear the injury will keep him sidelined even longer.
Fuego Burger is known for its green chile cheeseburger with crispy cheddar jack cheese protruding out from the burger bun.
Nehemiah Green, 24, of DeSoto was attested and charged with assault as a result of the incident, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
