The Washington High School baseball team announced a new coach on Thursday, as Hatchet assistant coach Austin Moody will replace recently retired head coach Steve Reed.

Moody was a multi-sport athlete at WHS graduating in 2017 and followed that up with a degree from USI, where he also played baseball until COVID-19 interrupted that season.
