AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas junior catcher Reese Atwood repeated as a Softball America first-team All-American while two other Longhorns made the cut for the second team.

The publication announced its picks Tuesday, with Atwood again named its top catcher in the country. Senior Mia Scott and sophomore Teagan Kavan were named second-team selections, Scott as a third baseman and Kavan as a pitcher.

Atwood, last year's Softball America national player of the year, is having another stellar season. With a .429 batting average and .908 slugging percentage, she's crushed 20 home runs and driven in 84 runs, six shy of her program record she set last season. She's the first Longhorn to have back-to-back 20-homer seasons, smacking 23 last year.
