The Mesa City Council voted 7-0 to approve a contract for emergency pipeline and sewer repair services for the water resources department at their May 19 meeting.
According to council documents, the one-year contract is valued at $800,000 annually. The contract will help emergency pipeline and sewer repair services for the city.
“This contract provides for emergency pipeline and sewer repair services, which is crucial for water utilities to efficiently address unexpected pipeline failures or damage. Having prequalified contractors ensures prompt responses, reducing downtime and preventing disruptions in the water supply,” council documents stated. “Covered tasks typically include excavation, pipeline repairs, valve operations and site restoration.”
