SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County experienced a record-breaking surge in tourism in 2024, with visitor numbers surpassing 10 million for the first time, according to Visit Spokane.
Visitor spending reached $1.53 billion, marking a 2% increase from 2023. This spending spanned various sectors, with $429 million in food and beverage, $376 million in lodging, $328 million in retail, $262 million in transport and $133 million in recreation and entertainment.
The economic impact of visitor spending in Spokane County was substantial, generating $400 million in indirect and $440 million in induced sales, resulting in a total economic impact of $2.4 billion.
This contributed to $658 million in personal income and supported 18,000 jobs, equivalent to 1 in 19 jobs in the county.
