NEW ORLEANS — Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald — two of the men captured in Texas after escaping from the Orleans Justice Center — were extradited back to Louisiana on Friday.

State police said the two were flown back to Louisiana and transferred to a secure correctional facility, a release said.

"Today, with the coordination of LSP Air Support and LSP SWAT, both individuals were flown back to Louisiana and transferred to a secure correctional facility."

The pair were arrested in Walker County, Texas, on Monday, May 26, following a high-speed chase through the Huntsville area.

Body camera video showed officers surrounded a white SUV, drew their weapons, and ordered the men out. Both complied and were taken into custody.
